Trish
Tricia Hawcroft A.P.T.D

Principal

Choreographer and Teacher of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Keyboard and Drama

Tricia and Colin met during a cabaret tour. At the time, Tricia was dance captain with her own dance duo act and Colin was Musical director. Prior to that Tricia worked in various pantomimes, musicals, floor shows and cabarets at home and abroad. Tricia has recently qualified as a dance examiner after gaining a wealth of experience during her years of teaching.

Musical Director and teacher of Singing and keyboards

Colin and Tricia have worked professionally for many years in various elements of  performing arts with many famous celebrities, before starting careers in teaching. Together they went on to perform in shows across the country and ended up in the world famous Latin Quarter in the west end for over nine years, where Colin became the company’s artistic director.

Student Teacher of Musical Theatre and Drama

I have been performing since the age of 9 with various theatre groups and joined the YEM Theatre School in 1998. In the 12 years I’ve been with the school I have taken classes in musical theatre, Jazz, Drama and Contemporary dance. In 2000 I took the step from student to teacher and began teaching the musical theatre classes which I thoroughly enjoy. During this time I’ve also been performing with other local theatre groups and as the vocalist with a band. In 2007 I took my final exam and was was awarded my Fellowship in Musical Theatre from the London College of music.

Catherine Whittaker
Cat Whittaker L.L.C.M

Student Teacher of Musical Theatre and Jazz

Cat has been with YEM for 22 years first as a student, then becoming a student teacher, and has enjoyed taking on a bigger responsibility over the years in putting on the shows and assisting with the running of the school.  She has gained her LLCM diploma in Musical Theatre and taken various exams for Dance and Drama.  Currently, whilst still holding down a full time job Cat is working towards her full teacher qualification.

Lucy Clark
Lucy Clark A.L.C.M

Choreographer and Student Teacher of Street Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Drama

Lucy started out at YEM at the age of nine with lessons in keyboard, she shortly went on to train in musical theatre, dance and drama. Lucy began choreographing for the school at 14 years and became a student teacher at 16. YEM since lead her to continue her training at London's Urdang Academy where she gained her diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. She is currently working towards a BA (hons) degree in Teaching and Choreography. Lucy liased closley with the web design team involved with this project.
